I'm sad to go, I cannot tell a lie....
Well, my month in London has officially come to a close. I seriously would like to know where all the time went? I haven’t really done anything too exciting the past few days -mostly shopping, which makes me happy. Now the real trick is trying to get all my stuff home while minding the 50lb limit. Ugh. I will most definitely be wearing several layers of clothing on my flight home in the morning,...

School's out for summer...
I just turned in my final. I wrote an essay on Liverpool and Manchester and how they relate to London. Not bad. Oh, and I should add that they provided us with Coke today at lunch. Wow! It must be our going away present or something?

Well, my days here are winding down. Today is my “off” day so I’m going to take a self proclaimed sanity day and go out and about and do exactly what I want to…which means going up and down Oxford St and stopping in any and every store that looks appealing and taking as much time to browse and shop as I please. After morning class yesterday, Allison, Meaghan and I walked...

Hey, hey, hey USA.
This week is going by super fast which I think is really unfair (insert epic sad face). This girl is not ready to come home. Although, I am looking forward to eating some really fantastic Mexican food. Yummy. Dr. Fischer brought in a guest speaker for class on Monday. His name was Jon Stewart and he used to be in a semi-successful British rock band called Sleeper. They had 8 #1 songs on the...

Ello! I’m sitting in my kitchen window borrowing someone’s wifi again. I’ve had a semi-eventful couple of days. Friday, Lexie, Meaghan and I went to Buckingham Palace to see the changing of the guards. We waited forever and the changing really wasn’t what I expected. It was kind of weird actually. The band played “Fame” and after that I couldn’t take it...

"I love you that's why I say cheerio not goodbye!"
First person to name that tune gets a self hug. So, I saw Oliver! last night! We got there an hour early and got the student discount tickets. We ended up with absolutely perfect seats - second row, center of the first tier. The cast members were absolutely brilliant. My favorites were Fagin and the Artful Dodger. There were some technical difficulties during the first half of the show, but the...

Can you tell I found a wifi hotspot?
On campus too! I just have to walk up a couple of flights of steps and sit near a window in a kitchen. Woot!

"'Round the boutiques of London Town, Eagerly...
Bah! What a day. It didn’t exactly turn out like I had planned, but I’m ok with that. Lexie and I went to the British Museum this morning. I’m not gonna lie, museums aren’t really my thing. We didn’t spend much time there - Lex had already been and my short attention span just wasn’t cutting it. However, we did see Celopatra and the Rosetta Stone, as well as...

Well, I’ve made it back to London…finally! We got in last night and all the main tube lines were down, which means all the busses were super packed, meaning the busses don’t stop for you when they’re at capacity. After waiting for over 30 minutes for a bus we hailed a cab to get us back to campus. After dinner and a shower, I did some homework and crashed. I think I got...

Ahoy!
Lexie and I are in Edinburgh, Scotland for the weekend. We are staying at a really cool hostel and can see the castle from our bedroom window. Tomorrow is some gathering of the clans (over 250 different clans or something?) so I think we’re going to check out those festivities and maybe tour the castle. We had about a 5 hour train ride to get here today. We accidentally rode in first class...

Good day, sunshine!
(I play that song every morning. Paul puts me in a good mood. Kind of puts a spring in my step for the rest of the day) It’s noon on Wednesday and my weekend has officially started. Not too shabby, right? Right. This week has already been pretty busy, so I’ll attempt to make up for some lost time. I’ve been so busy I just haven’t had the time to blog! Monday was class as...

London calling, yes I was there too!
Today’s been pleasant. I slept a lot, which I needed. I’ve been constantly on the go for over a week now and it’s high time I had some time to chill. I’ve been running on empty for the past few days, which is never good, but you know how I like to be on the go! I’ve still got to write my reaction paper for our Liverpool fieldtrip and read some in my Manchester book,...

Hello, hello
I have so much to blog about, it’s unreal, but here we go… Even though I was too excited to sleep on Wednesday night, I was up and going by 6am on Thursday. We were on our way to the tube station by 7 and the train station by 8. I’m sure our class was a sight to be seen on the train. We had a 2 hour train ride and we were all exhausted, so everyone was wadded up in seats trying...

Greetings!
Hello friends, I’ve covered a lot of ground since I last got the chance to write (as you can tell by the pictures). We started off classes this week. I already loved Dr. Fischer, but taking him in the UK is even more fun. Our class is mostly made up of Belmont and MTSU students, with about 3 exceptions. There’s only 18 of us, but I think we’re going to have a fun group. ...
