“‘Round the boutiques of London Town, Eagerly pursuing all the latest fads and trends….”

Bah! What a day. It didn’t exactly turn out like I had planned, but I’m ok with that. Lexie and I went to the British Museum this morning. I’m not gonna lie, museums aren’t really my thing. We didn’t spend much time there - Lex had already been and my short attention span just wasn’t cutting it. However, we did see Celopatra and the Rosetta Stone, as well as some pretty jewelry and some really neat clocks. That’s about all I have to say about the British Museum. I’m glad I went and I’m really glad it was free.

We were just gonna wander around a bit and somehow we wound up on Oxford Street. For those of you who don’t know, Oxford Street is one of the biggest streets in London….and it’s pretty much all clothing stores. Ahhhh. Do I really need to tell you how this one ends? I did not come home empty handed, I’ll just say that much. I made it to the infamous Topshop! I didn’t even attempt to look at clothes, but I spent a great deal of time in the accessories dept. They even have a mini candy shop inside the store, how neat is that?

We met up with Lexie’s friend, Serena (New Zeland gal from Lex’s hostel), for dinner. We ate at this yummy Asian place called Wagamama. It was kind of like a Pei Wei except a bit different.

Lexie and I are more than likely going to see Oliver! tomorrow night!!!! I’m very excited about this since Oliver! is one of my very favorite musicals. If that doesn’t happen then I think I may go see Les Miserables with Allison on Friday night.

Anyway, that’s my day in a nutshell. I hope everyone’s was equally as pleasant.

I’ve got some reading to do tonight- I can’t wait to go to Manchester on Thursday so I can be rid of this blasted book!

Everyone give yourself a hug for me…..do it right now. I’m serious. Self hugs all around! :)

Love,
Carleigh
